Q: Where abouts are you based

A: I’m based in Manchester, England, but I do have close links with both Birmingham and The Lake District. I’ll also consider other locations, so just drop me a message via the contact form!


Q: What do I need to do to book my wedding or portrait session

A: Send me a message using the contact form in the menu area at the top of the page, I’d love to hear from you! Include your name, email address and type of session and I will get back to you within one business day about scheduling a date. 


Q: What is your turn around time

A: I will post a preview on Facebook within a couple of days of your shoot and have a blog post on the website within two weeks. For portrait sessions, your password protected online gallery will also be available and the memory stick of images will be delivered within two weeks of your session, if applicable. For weddings, it will take 6-8 weeks to receive your images.


Q: What kind of equipment do you use

A: I use 2 Canon 7D’s with a variety of lenses (my two favourites are my 24-70mm 2.8 and my 70-200mm 2.8 – these are the 2 lenses I will use pretty much all day at a wedding). I use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom for my post processing, and every image I send to you will be carefully selected and edited.


Q: What should I wear to a photo shoot

A: Something that makes you happy. Any outfit that makes you feel beautiful– that’s the outfit to wear for your photo shoot. Generally, simple colours, fun patterns, textures and accessories are make for great photos.  Try to avoid wearing distracting logos. Also be sure to coordinate for group photos! Q: Do I need any props

A: That’s totally up to you.  Don’t feel you have to at all, but if there is something that symbolizes who you are or your child’s personality then feel free to bring it along. I’ll do my best to work with anything from a faithful dog  to a fancy hat to a favourite guitar! If you do want to incorporate any props into your shoot, let me know in advance so I can brainstorm some ideas and we can get the best out of your session. Q: When is the best time of day to schedule my photo shoot

A: I recommend the ends of the golden hour – right before sunset and during sunrise. During this time the atmosphere is saturated in much warmer light creating a dynamic romantic effect. Also, having the weather overcast eliminates harsh sunlight and hotspots and prevents you from squinting into the sun.  


Q: What happens if the weather is awful

A: I keep my eye on the forecast and if it is due to rain, I will notify you ASAP and we can reschedule for the next available date that suits you – keeping our fingers crossed for better weather next time!


Q: Who owns my photos

A: I own the copyright to all of your photos so this means they can’t be sold or used commercially without my permission.  You do of course have full printing rights to the photos on your disc / online gallery so you can print of as many as you like and give them to friends and family as well.


Q: What size can I print my images

A: These are high resolution images so you can pretty much go as big as you want!
